Osiris is a newly discovered ransomware observed in targeted enterprise intrusions since late last year. Although it shares a name with a legacy Locky variant Osiris is a distinct and modern ransomware that likely operating under a ransomware as a service (RaaS) model. Early activity shows advanced tradecraft including living off the land techniques. And also abuse of legitimate administrative tools for stealth, lateral movement and data exfiltration posing a high risk to enterprise environments.
