• Dark Web Exposure: Finance and Insurance (14.23%) and Public Administration (10.11%) lead Japan’s dark web exposure, followed by Retail Trade and Information Services. Over 70% of dark web threats involve stolen databases or sensitive information, and more than 64% specifically target Japan.
• Ransomware Activity: Qilin accounts for 41% of ransomware incidents—far ahead of other groups. Nearly 62.8% of ransomware attacks target Japan alone, showing localized threat focus.
