SOCRadar Joins CVE Program to Strengthen Global Vulnerability Reporting Efforts

Jan 07, 2025

DELAWARE, USA SOCRadar, a global leader in extended threat intelligence and cybersecurity, is proud to announce its participation in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This partnership solidifies SOCRadar’s dedication to advancing global vulnerability management and fostering a safer digital ecosystem.

Empowering Proactive Vulnerability Management

The CVE Program identifies and catalogs publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities, offering vital information to organizations worldwide. As a newly designated CVE Numbering Authority (CNA), SOCRadar will assign CVE IDs to vulnerabilities discovered in:

  • SOCRadar Products and Services: Proprietary software, platforms, and tools developed or maintained by SOCRadar.
  • Third-Party Monitoring: Vulnerabilities uncovered in software monitored by SOCRadar, unless already managed by another CNA.
  • Supply Chain Risks: Vulnerabilities affecting digital platforms and ecosystems within monitored supply chains.
  • Threat Intelligence Discoveries: Issues identified through SOCRadar’s intelligence activities, such as dark web monitoring or public forums.

This streamlined scope allows SOCRadar to act swiftly, ensuring timely disclosure and enabling organizations to manage vulnerabilities proactively.

Strengthening the Global Cybersecurity Community

“We are honored to join the CVE Program under the CISA ICS Root as a CNA. This milestone reflects SOCRadar’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and bolstering the global cybersecurity landscape,” said Ensar Seker, Advisory CISO at SOCRadar. “As a CNA, we aim to provide actionable intelligence that helps organizations stay ahead of emerging threats.”

SOCRadar’s participation in the CVE Program aligns with its innovative offerings, including Cyber Threat Intelligence 2.0, Attack Surface Management, and Advanced Dark Web Monitoring. By contributing to the CVE ecosystem, SOCRadar reinforces its role as a trusted partner in identifying and mitigating global cybersecurity risks.

About the CVE Program

The CVE Program, sponsored by CISA, enables timely identification and reporting of cybersecurity vulnerabilities. CVE Numbering Authorities (CNAs) are authorized entities that assign CVE IDs to vulnerabilities and ensure accurate records are accessible to the cybersecurity community.
