Gartner: EASM and DRPS Services Rise in the Market
Gartner shared HypeCyclefor Security Operations, 2022, which it publishes periodically and aims to provide insight into cyber security operations and risk management strategy formation. In the report, Gartner stated that Digital Risk Protection services had reached a high priority level due to the increase in the attack surface of the organizations with the digital transformation and predicted that External Attack Surface Management (EASM) would also hype soon.
DRPS Will Top in The Near Future
Gartner says in its report that the expanding attack surface has resulted in organizations needing to manage and control more tools. The benefits of these tools and services have created a high demand for Digital Risk Protection in the market right now.
DRPS identifies, prioritizes, analyzes, and creates contextual reports on organizations’ digital assets at risk. The biggest reason behind the high benefit of DRPS at the moment is that cyber attacks, which have become more complex in the last few years, cannot be handled with in-house capabilities.
Organizations’ EASM Needs Are Increasing
Another issue highlighted in Gartner’s report was attack surface management. According to the report, it has become more critical to proactively detect threats that target or may target organizations’ digital assets. In this sense, services such as External Attack Surface Management (EASM), Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS), and IT Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) are expected to rise in the market.
Tools such as EASM and DRPS, which offer improvements in security visibility and response to cyber incidents, seem to be on the agenda of the cybersecurity environment more frequently in the future.
SOCRadar as Both DRPS and EASM Vendor
Gartner, who previously recognized SOCRadar as the DRPS and EASM vendor, mentions SOCRadar among the sample EASM vendors in this report.
SOCRadar continues to provide budget-friendly and effective services with the Extended Threat Intelligence concept, which consists of ThreatFusion, RiskPrime, and AttackMapper suites and provides holistic threat intelligence.
