Gartner Recognizes SOCRadar as ‘Both EASM and DRPS’ Vendor

Gartner published “Quick Answer: What is the Difference Between EASM, DRPS, and SRS?” on February 21, 2022. SOCRadar was among the vendors providing more than one of the cybersecurity technologies in this report.

The report provides information on the distinctions of External Attack Surface Management (EASM), Digital Risk Protection (DRPS), and Security Rating Services (SRS), which provide different capabilities and functions. SOCRadar’s ability to offer both EASM and DRPS a holistic approach draws attention among the companies that provide these services.

We are proud of being recognized as a multi-technology vendor due to our hard work and Extended Threat Intelligence concept.

Gartner: “The market is experiencing lack of clarity”

The report states that the market lacks clarity regarding the differences between EASM, DRPS, and SRS services. It is emphasized that each of them promises strengths for different use cases. In this context, it’s summarized that the main differences between these three technologies are as follows:

  • The market’s confusion is about the overlap of some usage areas of these three technologies.
  • Each technology is built for core use cases. So they cannot be defined through secondary use cases.
  • An evaluation should be made according to the primary use cases when determining which technology is needed. Thus, a more suitable choice can be made for the target.

SOCRadar is Providing Both EASM and DRPS

The report proceeds by explaining what external attack surface managementdigital risk protection services, and security rating services do, how they work, and what situations should be considered.

After the detailed description of the service is given in each title, the vendors who can provide the relevant technology are mentioned.

Gartner’s report includes a detailed definition for each of the three technologies. It explains when and for what purpose the organizations need them and how to use them effectively. For instance, DPRS help organizations monitor and take down any malicious attempts to impersonate company brand. EASM helps identify unknown assets and provide information about your systems.

SOCRadar’s name is an answer to “Are There Vendors That Supports More Than One of These Technologies?”
