In a report published by Gartner on its website on July 29, 2024, SOCRadar was highlighted as a critical player in the Digital Risk Protection Services (DRPS) and External Attack Surface Management (EASM) sectors.

The report emphasized the importance of DRPS in mitigating risks from various digital platforms, including the dark web, and enhancing brand protection. Similarly, it underscored EASM’s role in identifying and managing internet-facing vulnerabilities.

SOCRadar’s inclusion in these categories signifies its robust capabilities in offering comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, which are crucial for protecting organizations against modern digital threats.

Gartner Highlights SOCRadar in July 2024 Reports as Key Vendor for Digital Risk Protection and External Attack Surface Management

As digitization transforms business operations, organizations’ digital assets have multiplied, leading to an exponential increase in the number of assets that need protection. For this reason, DRPS has garnered extensive attention from organizations.

Gartner published two reports in July 2024, the “Hype Cycle for Security Operations” and the “Hype Cycle for Cyber-Risk Management,” which examine trends in SecOps and Cyber Risk Management solutions and identify those gaining or losing interest.

These reports also guide the selection of these solutions and the factors to consider. In both reports, SOCRadar is acknowledged as a sample vendor of DRPS. Gartner also recognized SOCRadar as one of the sample vendors for EASM in their “Hype Cycle for Security Operations” report.

Why Is It Important for SOCRadar to be Named as a DRPS Sample Vendor?

DRPS proactively identifies and mitigates external risks to safeguard an organization’s reputation by monitoring social media and the web, enriching insights, and managing threat responses. Gartner identifies a more hybrid workforce and cloud assets as key drivers of DRPS adoption.

Another highlight in Gartner’s Hype Cycle report for Security Operations is the growing interest in DRPS capabilities and significant demand from SMEs, which struggle to derive value from Threat Intelligence (TI) due to a lack of resources and skills.

Why Is It Important for SOCRadar to be Named as an EASM Sample Vendor?

EASM involves technologies and services to identify internet-facing assets and vulnerabilities, including exposed servers, misconfigured cloud services, and exploitable third-party software flaws.

Gartner highlights EASM as a crucial capability for businesses primarily generating revenue through externally facing web services. It emphasizes integrating EASM with security platforms like Threat Intelligence (TI) to enhance precision and actionability.

Gartner advises SRM leaders to utilize advanced tools designed explicitly for cyber-risk management, including near-real-time monitoring systems, automation for resource-heavy processes, and impact-focused risk assessment methods to effectively counter evolving cyber threats.

SOCRadar’s recognition in these influential reports underscores its robust capabilities in providing comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. Their DRPS solutions help organizations monitor and mitigate digital risks, safeguarding their reputation and brand.

It’s not the first time SOCRadar’s threat intelligence capabilities have been featured in Gartner reports. In recent years, SOCRadar has been counted in Gartner reports more than four times.

Gartner published “Quick Answer: What is the Difference Between EASM, DRPS, and SRS?” on February 21, 2022. SOCRadar was among the vendors providing more than one of the cybersecurity technologies in this report.

In the previous reports, Competitive Landscape: Digital Risk Protection Services and Emerging Technologies and Trends Impact Radar: Security, published on October 12, 2021, SOCRadar was referred to as a “Digital Risk Protection Services (DRPS) vendor” for the first time.

Another report, “Market Guide for Security Threat Intelligence Products and Services,” published on December 10, 2021, also counted Threat Fusion and Risk Prime products as budget-friendly and effective.
